Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix an Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her ability to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks after the first time she tried out. Felix signed a contract for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest winner of the 200 meter in the world championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She defended her title time and time again in 2007 by beating the long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in all events.
